Created for my GBDA 101 course, this assignment was to write my design origin story and turn it into a magazine layout. I had to not just write a story and make a layout, I had to tell my own story and create a design that also told the story and perfectly encapsulated my style at the time. It’s always tough to design for yourself but this was the first time I ever had to create something that had to be ME. It was a daunting task at first and I chose to reflect this in the article titled, “Can I Design This?” I used this title and a choice of graphics that represented my feelings when beginning to design and my journey into the design world.

This was also my first time creating any type of magazine layout and this was my first attempt at using Adobe InDesign. I really got to try new stuff and explore my style. I chose colours, fonts, and created graphics that I loved. In the end, I created a beautiful layout and had fun telling my design story.
