Created for GBDA 101, the brief for this project was to create a 2-panel diptych-style poster. It was created during the Covid-19 pandemic so had the unique detail of being a “stay-at-home travel poster” focusing on an area in your home. I chose to make the desk space in my bedroom the subject. This is where I spent my time working and creating throughout the pandemic.
With this design, I decided to try an isometric style for the first time and used it to represent the desk space where I spend time working and creating. I chose to tell a story of my workspace over a day's work. The first poster shows a perfectly organized desk space with a blank canvas and a fresh cup of coffee. The second shows the aftermath of a day of work, a finished work, a darkened setting, and a messy desk. I put a bunch of details, small and large, that show all the progress and tasks done throughout the day.
When I made this in 2022, it was one of the first things I designed that I was truly proud of. I had never made a project like this. I got to learn a lot, try new things, and really start digging into my design style.
